How do I register/activate HelpBurner?
When you’re using the trial version of HelpBurner and the nag windows appears, click the "register" link to display the license key entry page.
Is the trial/demo version fully functional?
Yes! The whole idea is to let you fully experience HelpBurner before you buy. The trial/demo version will displays a simple nag screen to let you register, but you can dismiss it with a click. The only difference with the trial/demo version is that some exports you create will have a "created with HelpBurner" watermark. These will disappear when you enter a valid license key.
I’ve purchased HelpBurner, but I haven't received my license key
Normally, license keys are sent via e-mail as soon as your order has been processed. But as we all know, sometimes e-mails can get lost so contact us if you think there’s been a glitch and we'll sort it out for you straight away.
Can I use my license key on my laptop and my desktop?
You sure can - HelpBurner is licensed by user not by computer, so you can install HelpBurner on your PC’s using the same license.
How do I update HelpBurner to the latest version?
We release updates every two weeks, and they’re available to you for free. When you’ve got a working internet connection, HelpBurner will prompt you to download and apply any available updates.
Will HelpBurner run on my Mac?
We’re still fine-tuning HelpBurner for Mac, but it’s not yet fully functional. Help can still be viewed by users on Macs, iPhones and iPads though.

Does HelpBurner export to ABC?
HelpBurner can export help to PDF, web (HTML + CSS), HTML e-mail and blogs that support MetaWebLog API (WordPress and others). We're adding new exporters all the time so drop by the user community and let us know what you need.
How do I backup my help topics?
HelpBurner stores everything in XML so it's easily backed-up. Simply open the HelpBurner Settings window to access the HelpBurner folder on your computer. All you need to do is back up the entire HelpBurner folder and its sub-folders and that's all there is to it.
